The 49ers have wrapped up their preseason. The next item of business is to trim the roster down to their initial 53-man roster by 1:00 P.M. Tuesday.
San Francisco has a very deep roster. There may be a trade or two which develops. Last year at this time the 49ers sent linebacker Jonas Griffith and a 2022 seventh round pick to the Denver Broncos for a 2022 sixth round pick and a 2023 seventh round pick.
Here is how I see the roster playing out:
Quarterback (2): Trey Lance, Nate Sudfeld
The 49ers handed the keys of the offense to Trey Lance and gave Nate Sudfeld a $2 million guaranteed contract to serve as his backup.
