Patriots not expected to trade Jimmy Garoppolo, according to Adam Schefter

The 2017 NFL Combine is underway, and one of many trade dances would appear to be underway. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the New England Patriots are not expected to trade quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

It is possible they have decided Brady’s age means they need as capable a backup as possible, and they don’t think Jacoby Brissett is quite there. However, I have to think nobody is untradeable, and they simply are making it clear they need a significant offer to make a deal happen.

Simply put, putting it out there that Garoppolo is not on the trade market is nothing more than an opportunity to boost some leverage.
