SANTA CLARA — 49ers’ defensive end Nick Bosa is jealous of his teammate Dee Ford.
Bosa’s name was all over the stat sheet in his team’s 27-10 defeat of the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, but the rookie said there’s more to finding success along the defensive front than racking up sacks and quarterback pressures.

“I told Dee, I wish I could scare people with my presence like you do,” Bosa said. “When a guard sees Dee Ford on them, their mind is racing and they’re thinking about what he’s about to do.”
After battling a hamstring injury that kept him out of the lineup for all but four snaps over the final five weeks of the regular season, Ford returned to the 49ers’ defense on Saturday against the Vikings.
