The San Francisco 49ers are winless — 0-7 on the season — but still are just in line for the second overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The Cleveland Browns also lost on Sunday, and have a weaker strength of schedule, so they hold the top pick. They are the only winless teams on the season.
And unfortunately, in addition to looking terrible on Sunday, the 49ers didn’t get much help in the form of wins for the other bad teams in the league. Just about every team that we wanted to win for the sake of putting distance between themselves and the 49ers did not win.
