The San Francisco 49ers are pretty lucky quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo isn’t on the NFL hot seat entering the upcoming 2019 season.
He’s under pressure, yes. Namely to bounce back from his 2018 ACL tear and to live up to what was a lofty and then-record-setting five-year, $137.5 million contract he signed early in the year.
Barring a complete meltdown, however, Jimmy G doesn’t have to worry too much about losing a job or roster spot anytime soon.
There are plenty of other signal-callers around the league who enter the year sitting on that proverbial NFL hot seat, though.
