NFL coaching staffs granted access to team facilities — Why the 49ers may be left out

Commissioner Roger Goodell granted coaching staffs from all 32 NFL clubs the go-ahead to return to team facilities.

Because of Santa Clara County’s slow re-opening, the San Francisco 49ers could be the only team in the league for whom facility access will be denied.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the team is “aware and supportive of the plan and has been in communication with its local authorities to obtain all necessary permissions when available.”

Santa Clara County, where Levi’s Stadium sits, is trailing behind other Bay Area counties in its phased reopening of businesses.
