SANTA CLARA — Cornerback Justin Verrett said his “body feels good,” and that could make his signing Thursday with the 49ers a very good thing for a suspect secondary.
Verrett’s tenure with the Chargers was waylaid by shoulder, knee and, just when he was ready to return to form last season, he tore an Achilles at the start of training camp.
