Monday night’s 49ers-Broncos game likely will be among hottest ever at Mile High

Bring extra water to the game tonight, traveling 49ers fans.

Temperatures for Monday night’s Broncos-49ers preseason game at Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver are expected to be in the low-to-mid 90s at kickoff, according to the official hourly forecast from the National Weather Service. The kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

If Monday’s kickoff temperature is 93 degrees or above, it’d be hotter than any Denver Broncos game in team history. The current record is a 92-degree kickoff temperature, set just last September. Three preseason games also have featured a kickoff temperature of 92 degrees, most recently a 2010 exhibition against the Detroit Lions.
