Earlier this week, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle opened the recruiting effort of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown. Odds are probably not great that Brown gets traded to the 49ers, but crazy things happen, so props to Kittle for working that angle.
Meanwhile, 49ers receiver Marquise Goodwin had a chance to recruit a slightly more realistic target. Goodwin was in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl, taking in his Texas Longhorns’ upset of the fifth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs. Attending the game with Goodwin was fellow Longhorn alum and soon to be free agent safety Earl Thomas.
