Kyle Shanahan, Andy Reid bust out creative plays early in Super Bowl LIV

We knew there would be some fun plays in Super Bowl LIV, given the minds running each offense.

The game’s first quarter delivered, as Kyle Shanahan and Andy Reid unveiled several tricky playcalls to varying degrees of success.

First it was Shanahan using Deebo Samuel as a passer during the 49ers’ field goal drive.

Samuel wisely decided to run the ball rather than throw to quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, as the play appeared to call for. He picked up seven yards and a first down.
