With a majority of free agency signings already done, one name that has remained unsigned is San Francisco 49ers free agent safety Eric Reid. He’s visited with the Cincinnati Bengals, but not much else.
Fortunately, 49ers general manager John Lynch says that the door isn’t closed on bringing the safety back to the team.
“We’ve been in communication with Eric and his representative. There has been communication. Certainly would not close [the door] He’s a really good football player who played in an important role for us last year and displayed his versatility.
