The San Francisco 49ers signed running back Jerick McKinnon this offseason, thinking he is a perfect fit for the system. We’ll see plenty of work for Matt Breida and maybe Joe Williams and Raheem Mostert, but Kyle Shanahan has made it pretty clear that McKinnon is the lead guy.
McKinnon recently sat down with Matt Maiocco for a lengthy conversation that turned out to be a lot of fun (audio here if you can’t listen above). McKinnon talked about the 49ers recruiting him in free agency, and particularly what he saw in Jimmy Garoppolo.
