Injury updates: Coleman, Hurd, and Ford didn’t practice on Monday

There shouldn’t be any rush for Hurd, either. It’s believed that Hurd will be eased back into action until he’s 100% healthy and comfortable with the playbook. Maiocco said it’s not a given that the Niners automatically would give Hurd a roster spot on game days and sit Bourne. The 49ers had a brief practice on Monday morning that lasted a little over an hour. During the portion of practice that the media was allowed to watch, there was no Dee Ford, Tevin Coleman, or Jalen Hurd on hand. Per NBC Sport’s Matt Maiocco, Coleman is making good progress from his high ankle sprain that he sustained Week 1.
