The 49ers returned to the practice field for their final practice on Friday. The loss of defensive tackle Jullian Taylor will hurt, as he’s the only defensive lineman over 300 pounds, and Seattle relies heavily on jumbo packages with six offensive linemen. His replacement will be undrafted rookie free agent Kevin Givens, who is undersized, but very athletic and quick. Givens has a high motor and might be a better counter than Taylor, as his quickness inside could prevent problems in the backfield for the Seahawks.
Givens played 112 snaps for the 49ers defense this preseason and showed flashes.
