Former San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman has found himself a new job. Roman served as the Baltimore Ravens tight ends coach and assistant head coach last season, and will now serve as offensive coordinator. He replaces Marty Mornhinweg, the team’s OC for the past three seasons.
The move comes as the franchise moves on from veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to rising second-year quarterback Lamar Jackson. Naturally, this move has everybody talking about Roman’s work with Colin Kaepernick from 2011 to 2014. And naturally, 49ers fans are jumping in with the Super Bowl jokes.
