Kyle Shanahan is set to lose another member of his coaching staff to the Denver Broncos. Former 49ers QB coach and new Broncos offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello is working on bringing 49ers offensive assistant T.C. McCarthey to his staff. McCarthey interviewed with the Broncos to be their new quarterback coach and has been reported to have accepted the position.
The 49ers are interviewing formers Patriots receiver Wes Welker for a spot on the offensive coaching staff. It is reported that he is likely interviewing for the wide receivers coach position.
