Former Packers’ LB James Burgess has agreed to a one-year deal with the 49ers

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that James Burgress has agreed to a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers. Burgess was an undrafted free agent out of Louisville in the 2016 NFL Draft.

That year, Burgess signed with the Miami Dolphins but was released before the start of the season. In 2016, he was on the practice squad with the Chargers, Ravens, and Jaguars before signing with the Browns in December of 2016. Burgess ended up signing a futures contract the following January with Cleveland.

The next season Burgess started ten games with the Browns.
