Australian rugby star and former San Francisco 49ers running back Jarryd Hayne has been charged sexual assault in Australia. He turned himself into police on Monday night, according to multiple Australian media outlets.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Hayne, who spent the 2015 NFL season with the 49ers, is accused of sexually assaulting a 26-year-old woman he communicated with on social media prior to the alleged incident.

Police said Hayne arrived at the woman's house in a taxi while intoxicated, and proceeded to rip off her clothes and bite her, drawing blood.
