The Atlanta Falcons will wrap up their postseason on Sunday, and at that point Kyle Shanahan is expected to travel to Santa Clara to formally join the San Francisco 49ers as their head coach. Reports and rumors are already flying about potential members of Shanahan’s new coaching staff, including a couple Falcons offensive assistants. But there will not be many Falcons assistants joining Shanahan, according to a report.
Falcons beat writer Jeff Schultz is reporting the team will block Shanahan from hiring any assistants “of significance.” Schultz is reporting that will include coaches such as assistant head coach/wide receivers coach Raheem Morris, running backs coach Bobby Turner, and offensive line coach Chris Morgan.
