Rookie 49ers quarterback Trey Lance has a tall task ahead of him as he’s up against the Arizona Cardinals, the last undefeated team in the NFL, without one of the offense’s best weapons: George Kittle.
But it would appear the pressure is still relatively off Lance as the job of QB1 is still Jimmy Garoppolo’s, no matter what happens on Sunday, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport,
“Trey Lance is not, from what I understand, expected to hold on to the job regardless of what happens today, if Jimmy Garoppolo is healthy next week, it is going to be his job,” Rapoport said on “NFL GameDay Kickoff” Sunday.
