Even at $265 million, Brock Purdy's deal is a bargain for the 49ers

The 49ers’ will-they-won’t-they with Brock Purdy is over. The organization’s front office built its entire offseason narrative around paying Purdy, and on Friday afternoon, they worked out a five-year, $265 million contract extension, according to multiple reports.

You are asking yourself a few things right now: Is Brock Purdy worth that money? What do I have to do to get paid $53 million a year? Should I be training my newborn son to play football despite the head trauma risk?

These are all great questions. I can’t answer the second or third one for you, but on the first one, I can say the 49ers are getting a steal, even at an average of $53 million per year.
