San Francisco 49ers free safety Eric Reid has been taking a knee during the National Anthem, and on Wednesday, he got a platform to discuss the whys about the protest. People have asked why players are doing it, with that fueling some criticisms about the method over the substance of the protest.
Reid got a chance to meet with the media on Wednesday, a day normally reserved for the head coach and quarterback. Reid spoke for over 20 minutes about a whole host of topics related to the protest.
