The NFL released the list of every player that received a fine for something they did during Week 3, and Greenlaw was absent from the list. The 49ers linebacker was flagged for unnecessary roughness during the Sept. 21 matchup against the Giants after a sideline official determined he delivered a late hit against New York’s Darius Slayton.
However, closer examination of the play showed that Greenlaw’s hit came before the official blew his whistle, meaning that he shouldn’t have been penalized for the hit.
