Judging by his 2015 statistics, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jerome Simpson likely would be slated as a bubble-watch player for the team as it goes through training camp in advance of the regular season.
Indeed, Simpson’s 2015 campaign is one to be forgotten. After a six-game suspension, for various off-the-field incidents previously, Simpson totaled a mere five catches for 54 yards and a touchdown with San Francisco’s anemic offense a year ago.
But all that could change this year, and Simpson has a very real chance to cement himself as a major contributor on the 49ers offense.
