'Credit to them': Following loss to 49ers, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott commends fans who threw bottles at refs

Video posted by NFL Network reporter Jane Slater following the San Francisco 49ers' 23-17 playoff win against the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, TX shows fans hurling objects at referees exiting the stadium following a wild, semi-controversial finish.

Cowboys defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence, who was directly trailing the group of officials, can be seen swatting one plastic bottle that overshot the officials with his helmet.

"That s--t was aimed at the refs," Lawrence told the Dallas Morning News' Calvin Watkins. "...It had nothing to do with me."

Despite the fact that throwing objects of any kind violates the AT&T Stadium fan code of conduct (and "may result in the guest having his/her tickets revoked, being ejected from the stadium or arrested"), as well as the general human code of conduct (don't throw your trash at other human beings because your team lost a football game), Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott actually commended fans who did exactly that after some initial confusion.
