Coronavirus: NFL extends virtual offseason, 49ers’ HQ still closed

The 49ers certainly won’t be alone in conducting their offseason program’s video conferences and virtual lessons for another couple weeks. All other teams must continue to work remotely through at least May 29.

The NFL issued a memo Wednesday announcing that extension of virtual offseason programs, the NFL Network reported.

Although the NFL unveiled steps last week in which clubs must get their facilities ready to reopen by this Friday, the 49ers’ remains off limits except for a handful of players rehabilitating injuries.

Meanwhile, the NFL provided an update for teams today on their virtual offseason, extending them another few weeks through May 29.
