The coin flip to determine the ninth and 10th overall picks in the 2018 NFL Draft — between the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders — will be held on Friday, March 2, according to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe.
The 49ers and Raiders finished the 2017 regular season with the same record, the same strength of schedule and are not in the same conference. Unable to find a more suitable tiebreaker (two-man sack race, punter fight, guess which number I’m thinking of, etc), the NFL goes with a coin flip in these situations.
