The San Francisco 49ers coaching staff is getting some love around the NFL. A day after word that the 49ers had shut down interview requests for run-game coordinator Mike McDaniel, they are letting Rich Scangarello interview with Vic Fangio to serve as the Denver Broncos offensive coordinator. The interview is scheduled for Monday, per Tom Pelissero.
I have to think Scangarello’s stock shot up with the emergence of Nick Mullens over the back half of the season. Mullens started eight games and completed 64.2 percent of his passes for 2,277 yards, with 13 touchdowns and ten interceptions.
