Brain game: Harvard grad Easton racing to get ready for opener

A day after center Nick Easton was traded by the Ravens to the 49ers on Saturday, the undrafted rookie started cramming.

It was eight days before the season opener against the Vikings, so Easton began by meeting with assistant offensive line coach Eric Wolford to review the entire offensive playbook.

However, Easton didn’t stop there.

“On my own, he said. “I’ve written up a bunch of flash cards.”

Well, of course he did.

Easton, after all, is kind of good at this studying stuff.

The 23-year-old has a economics degree from Harvard, where he enrolled after he had a 4.
