1. How well has Drew Brees looked and has that thumb surgery hindered him?
Triplett: The thumb doesn’t seem to have had any impact on him, to be honest. The Saints’ offense overall hasn’t really been lighting it up like years past, and they’ve been struggling to create big plays. But a lot of that has to do with their lack of wide receiver depth. Brees at age 40 is playing a lot like he has over the past two years for a more balanced Saints team that no longer requires him to throw for 5,000-plus yards per season.
