Ascending 49ers playmaker reportedly wants a new contract, or a trade, just a year after last extension

Jauan Jennings received a two-year extension from the 49ers last year. Now he reportedly wants another new deal.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jennings is seeking another contract from the 49ers or a trade to a new team that will hand him an extension.

Jennings was handed a two-year, $15.39 million deal by the Niners last May in the wake of his impressive performance in a losing cause in Super Bowl 58.

He vindicated the 49ers’ decision with a breakout 2024 season that would have ended with him posting 1,000 yards receiving if not for a bizarre ejection in the season finale with the Arizona Cardinals.
