The NFL announced on Wednesday that Anquan Boldin is the San Francisco 49ers nominee for the 2015 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.
The honor is given annually to the player who best exhibits a commitment to philanthropy and community impact as well as excellence on the football field.
One player from each NFL team is nominated for the award. From there, the 32 men will be narrowed down to three finalists in January 2016. The winner will be announced during the fifth annual NFL Honors award show on Feb. 6, the night before Super Bowl 50.
