With Deebo Samuel traded to the Washington Commanders, Brandon Aiyuk starting the season on the PUP list as he continued his recovery from a torn ACL, the drama surrounding Jauan Jennings (whether it be his contract or his injury issues), and free-agent pickup Demarcus Robinson suspended for the first three games of the season, the San Francisco 49ers desperately needed Ricky Pearsall to step up and deliver in the early weeks of this 2025 campaign.
And the second-year star in the making has done precisely that.
In the Niners' Week 1 comeback win over the Seattle Seahawks, Pearsall recorded the second 100-yard game of his young career, catching four passes from Brock Purdy for 117 yards.
