Entering halftime, the Niners already held a commanding 27-0 lead, essentially being able to put the second half into cruise control en route to representing the conference in the Super Bowl against the AFC champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.
This was the second time the 49ers defeated the Packers this season, the first time being a 37-8 beatdown back in Week 12.
