Not even the staunchest of San Francisco 49ers fans could have imagined the team would have begun this season with two straight wins on the road. Even if they could, they certainly would have been hard pressed to conjure up thoughts on just how the team would arrive at their 2-0 record.
Week 1 at Tampa Bay saw an offense that left much to be desired. It wasn’t so much that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and Co. had a horrible game. It was that they didn’t have a game which would be reflective of employing a $100 million quarterback.
