Field Yates of ESPN reports that the 49ers brought in veteran defensive linemen Ahtyba Rubin, Kendall Langford, Jaye Howard and Tony McDaniel for tryouts on Wednesday.
Rubin, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Browns back in 2008. He spent seven years in Cleveland before signing a one-year deal with the Seahawks.
Rubin was entering the second year of a three-year, $12 million contract that contained $5.5 million guaranteed and set to earn a base salary of $1.7 million this year when the Seahawks cut him loose last weekend.
