Mike Davis enters the second year of his rookie deal with a lot to prove. After spending the majority of last season on injured reserve due to a broken hand — and playing poorly while on the field — Davis needs to prove he deserves a spot on the San Francisco 49ers roster, let alone that he deserves playing time.
On 35 carries in 2015, Davis only gained 58 yards, good for a paltry 1.7 yards per carry.
With the 49ers re-signing Kendall Gaskins, the odds of Davis making the roster are even lower.
