49ers welcome Nick Bosa, almost all others back to practice

SANTA CLARA — Defensive end Nick Bosa took an encouraging step Monday toward debuting in the 49ers season opener Sunday.

Bosa looked pain free his return to practice, 26 days since sustaining a right-ankle sprain. Also back from a similarly long hiatus were cornerbacks Jason Verrett (ankle) and K’Waun Williams (knee).
