After dispatching of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in Week 1, head coach Kyle Shanahan opted to fly his team to Ohio instead of traveling back to Santa Clara.
This is the first time since 2012 the team has implemented this strategy.
It paid dividends then, and the hope is that this week spent in former owner Eddie Debartolo’s hometown will have the same effect.
