SANTA CLARA – Season Five at Levi’s Stadium closes down Sunday for the 49ers, and, per annual routine, no playoff berth awaits them.
So, the spoiler role it is.
After beating playoff contenders Denver and Seattle the previous two Sundays at home, the 49ers (4-10) now host NFC North-champion Chicago Bears (10-4).
A Bears loss could ruin their shot of a first-round bye and give it to the NFC West-winning Los Angeles Rams (11-3).
