So instead of listing the top three things to watch in Tuesday’s practice, here is an analysis of what the 49ers offered for a depth chart entering Friday’s opener at Kansas City:
Quarterback: *Brian Hoyer, Matt Barkley, C.J. Beathard, Nick Mullens. Analysis: Hoyer is entrenched as the starter, but Barkley needs a solid exhibition showing to outlast Beathard, who’s split second-team reps.
