The San Francisco 49ers are going to be signing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Kwon Alexander to a four-year deal worth $54 million dollars when NFL free agency officially begins on March 13.
News of the pending transaction was first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Monday:
ESPN’s Adam Schefter later reported the deal includes $27 million guaranteed.
The report backs up additional news the Niners were interesting in acquiring the four-year pro, along with the New York Jets, who are also flush with cap space.
