On a night when the 49ers protected more than 20 of their projected starters and key players from risk of injury, six players were on the field for every snap.
Backup center Marcus Martin played every snap on offense, while Michael Wilhoite, Shayne Skov and L.J. McCray were the 49ers with previous NFL experience played every snap in the 49ers’ 31-21 victory over the San Diego Chargers.
Tackles Colin Kelly and Nick Price also played all 78 snaps on offense.
The amount of playing time for Wilhoite appeared especially ominous with the 49ers expected to make all of their cuts on Saturday, the deadline to reach the 53-player limit.
