49ers Sign CB Leon Hall, Place CB Asa Jackson on IR

The San Francisco 49ers announced on Tuesday that they have signed cornerback Leon Hall to a one-year deal. In order to make room on the roster, the team has placed cornerback on the Injured Reserve List.

Hall (5-11, 195) was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round (18th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. In nine years with Cincinnati (2007-15), he appeared in 121 games (105 starts) and registered 517 tackles, 129 passes defensed, 26 interceptions (three returned for touchdowns), five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. In addition, he made four postseason starts for the Bengals where he had 24 tackles, three passes defensed and one interception returned for a touchdown.
