SANTA CLARA — 49ers rookie tackle Mike McGlinchey blocked for over 50 yards on Raheem Mostert’s touchdown in the team’s 34-3 win over the Raiders.
McGlinchey blocked in a slalom fashion down the right sideline as Mostert ran in opposition for his 52-yard journey to the end zone. McGlinchey said he’s never been out in the open like that in a game before, even in college at Notre Dame.
“That’s what’s kinda fun about Kyle’s offense,” McGlinchey said. “You get to show off your athletic ability a little bit with how we run, and how we try and get in front of guys.
