The San Francisco 49ers officially placed edge rushers Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas on the injured reserve after both players tore their ACL on Sunday against the New York Jets.
The Niners officially announced the signing of Ezekiel Ansah, who spent six seasons with the Detriot Lions and was the fifth-overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Ansah’s 48 sacks are the fourth-most in Lions history. Ansah also has two playoff appearances. In 2015, Ansah was named Associated Press Second-Team All-Pro and earned Pro Bowl honors after finishing the season ranked third in the NFL with a career-high 14.
