The San Francisco 49ers have signed wide receiver Max McCaffrey from the Green Bay Packers practice squad, the team announced on Wednesday. It’s a two-year deal for the 2016 undrafted free agent. To make room on the roster, the team placed wide receiver Victor Bolden Jr. on injured reserve, ending his season.

Bolden is an undrafted rookie who appeared in nine games this season, returning 19 kickoffs for 396 yards and four punt returns for 23 yards. He also registered a forced fumble on special teams. Bolden exited the Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans with an ankle injury.
