49ers place Bell on IR, sign former Stanford TE Dray to one-year deal

The San Francisco 49ers Monday announced they have placed TE Blake Bell on the Injured Reserve List and signed TE Jim Dray to a one-year deal. San Francisco also signed LB Brandon Chubb to the practice squad.

Dray (6-5, 255) was originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 7th round (233rd overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Stanford University. Throughout his seven-year NFL career, he has appeared in 91 games (37 starts) and registered 56 receptions for 605 yards and three touchdowns with the Cardinals (2010-13), Cleveland Browns (2014-15) and Buffalo Bills (2016). This season with Buffalo, he saw action in four games with one start prior to his release from the team on October 4, 2016.
