49ers notes: Ray-Ray Armstrong cut, Trent Brown hurt

SANTA CLARA – Kyle Shanahan cited having too many inside linebackers as to why Ray-Ray Armstrong became the odd-man out and got released Friday by the 49ers.

It’s part of the 49ers plan to activate defensive end Tank Carradine off injured reserve and into that roster spot Saturday.
