SANTA CLARA – Rookie Solomon Thomas’ workload could be picking up now that the 49ers placed fellow defensive tackle Tank Carradine on injured reserve Monday.
In a corresponding roster move, linebacker Mark Nzeocha was signed off the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad.
Carradine sustained a high-ankle sprain in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s 41-39 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
